In the beginning God created the heavens and the earth (Gen 1:1) and He created everything in them in six literal days. On the sixth day of creation God said, “Let us make mankind in our image, in our likeness, so that they may rule over the fish in the sea and the birds in the sky, over the livestock and all the wild animals, and over all the creatures that move along the ground” (Gen 1:28). God place the man that he had created in the Garden of Eden and told him “You are free to eat from any tree in the garden; but you must not eat from the tree of the knowledge of good and evil, for when you eat from it you will certainly die” (Gen 2:16-17). Adam and Eve were deceived by the devil and ate the fruit that God had commanded them not to eat from (Gen 3:6). Their disobedience brought sin, death, and suffering into the world and separated them from God (Rom 6:23).  But, because of Gods great love for us He send His son to die on a cross and be raised from the dead (Rom 5:8) so that we could have a restored relationship with Him (John 3:16).

for all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God,
